Well Well... What do we have here?

This is Cassie and her pony mare Godfrey. Cassie started showing at about 11 mos. Here, she is a whopping 23 mos. old. At this particular show series, she was the Blackland Farms Summer Series Champion that year in the Walk/Trot division.

This also included an Equitation over Poles class!

This skilled riding style earned Cassie and invitation to the Tonite Show w/ Johnny Carson, an article in Star Magazine, and several trips on Channel 10 local San Diego News KGTV.

Okay... let's talk about that Hunt Coat? How bout all of the gear? Well you see, it is like this...! When you are only 20+ months old - they just don't make them to fit. So we got the smallest coat we could find, tried to have it altered as much as we could, bought a white pair of tights, had the jodpur straps made by the leather smith, and a wonderful tack shop in Del Mar California had these little tiny Paddock boots up as a display along with tiny Stirrups that had been imported from England. Thank You soooo much Mary's Tack Shop, without you Cassie would not have made it to the show arena!

Cassie always liked being the first into the arena...

And... Godfrey didn't mind either!

And Godfrey says, "is that a bunch of big ponies behind me???"

(We shrimps are still leading the pack around the first turn, anyway). ;)
